Great product!
Out on a 100 mile tour today and the PedalCell kept my Garmin and smartphone topped up, enabling navigation and communication. On hilly terrain the friction on the wheel was unnoticeable. Excellent design!

Great piece of kit
I bought this in December 2020 and have not had any real problems with it. It's exactly as advertised. I know Adam likes to show off how incredibly durable and functional pedalcell is and showcase mtb tourers. I'm not one of those hardcore cyclists. Although I have cycled overseas, all my use has been cycling in the local urban areas since I bought it ( ) Good: --------- - incredibly easy to install, and transfer between bikes. Fastest I transfered was 48 seconds ( I was in a mood to test, hehe). In contrast, I have a dynamo hub on a wheel, had to send to shop to put it on, and I've transfered this old wheel between 3 or 4 bikes and forgone having a new front wheel because of the cost and hassle changing. The old wheel was quick release too, so I chose bikes based on that too. Pedalcell has (almost) no restrictions in this regards. - Very well made. No chips, breakage, water spoilage. No sign of degradation, being 26 months old. - Multiple usb-c ports. Far better than stuck with just one and deciding what to sacrifice. - The power output!!!!!! It's amazing how fast my phone battery charges. - Can charge lights as you cycle. I did 2 experiments. 1st was a completely drained Moon Orion light. Hooked it up, started cycling. About 10-13 min later, light had enough charge for me to turn on and light stayed on. Kept cycling, and an hour or so later, battery on light was full. 2nd was using a Sofirn sp35 flashlight. It was fully charged ( it has a battery power indicator), hooked it up, turbed it on, 1.5 hours later power seemed about full. - can put on multiple places on bike and multiple types of forks. I've put on both rigid steel Surly forks and suspension forks. Some have put it on rear of the bike. - Easy of installation and removal means it's portable, unlike hub dynamos. Can even get a streetside rental bike and put it on. Bring pedalcell, light, cable, in your bag, and get instant bike setup. Things to note: -------------------- - Price. It is amazingly useful, but its not cheap. - Size and weight. It does take up space, and adds half a kg. - Related to size.....placing it on my Surly Ogre Fork, it ended up covering an eyelet, which hinders placement of a bottle cage. 99.9% of people won't have this issue, but its there. - rubber coverings over USB ports seem a little thin and fragile, subjectively. I've had no issues, but.... - I keep a plastic bag/cover around, to cover the port block in case of rain, so I can keep it connected to the block and item. - Also got a highly water resistant top tube bike bag, with rain cover. - This week, the O ring became a bit squeaky. Dabbing a bit of water ( or saliva, shhhh, don't tell anyone!) solved that, though might need to redo it now and again. - One day, they'll have version 2.0 and 3.0. I can imagine they'll be so much slimmer, lighter, yet put out even more power. Then I'll be forced to decide if I want to upgrade or not!

PedalCell is great
Customer service is great. Instructions are step by step, installation is very easy and only takes a few minutes, and so far I'm very pleased with my purchase. PedalCell keeps all my devices charged as needed. Thank you for an awesome product PedalCell team!

Bought it immediately!
As an ultra-cyclist, the PedalCell was an immediate purchase, followed by another after showing it to a friend! The dynamo is extremely simple, and quick to install, and feels right at home on my Cervelo's aero fork. I immediately put it through its paces on a 14hr jaunt across Germany. The two USB-C ports were thoughtfully designed with the future in mind and also meet different charging needs - one offers constant low output (lights), and the other has high-output once the wheels are turning (powerbank). Also, it's not recommended, but I was able to both engage and disengage the dynamo while riding - using the helpful little nubs and a single free hand. It also performed well in the rain. It's so simple and useful that I feel comfortable recommending it to anyone who worries about battery for longer rides. I've run solar before, but now this is my go-to power for long rides. It's also convenient to just keep it on and disengaged for commuting in case I forget to charge my phone overnight - or if I find I need extra juice for calling into a long work meeting during a group ride... don't judge. Also, any aero/wattage loss (nothing significant) is far outweighed by the sheer convenience and peace-of-mind from this little thing.

A great product
The pedal cell is a beautifully conceived and manufactured device. It is well made to a high standard, no frills and very efficient charging output. I am shortly leaving on a trip from England to the Canary Islands and the Pedal Cell will allow me to charge all my electronic kit without the need to seek electricity! Mission accomplished! I can now cycle camp in peace! Thank you to all the team at Pedal Cell! Best regards Paul Rush
